In an era of planetary fragmentation where borders harden and shared narratives dissolve, the work reclaims aerial space as a commons for collective imagination. Large language models, carrying traces of humanity's varied cultural expressions within their training data, generate fictional passengers who have never existed yet embody scattered perspectives and fleeting associations.
The project positions generative AI as both observer and narrator, investigating how machine-generated narratives can carry cultural agency beyond individual authorship. It transforms technical planetary observation into speculative poetic acts, bridging the gap between distant orbital surveillance and intimate human interiority, proposing AI as a medium for reimagining our fractured world through the universal experience of looking at clouds.
